Help for searching in Surfaces articlesYou can now search for information in all articles published in Surfaces. And you can restrict your search to specific fields in the articles, since the search engine is capable of handling queries based on the structure of the documents.

Here are a few tips to help you use this form:
You should type the words you want to search for in this field. Please note that the search engine can only search for character strings. It cannot search for separate words or with boolean operators. The engine will therefore search for the exact phrase you type.
Leading and trailing spaces will be removed, along with quotes (").
You can choose a specific part of articles that you want to search with this option list. By default, searches occur in the full text of the articles, but you can restrict the searches to one of these fields:
Click on this button to submit your query to the search engine. Results should appear a few seconds afterwards.
Click on this button to clear the fields in the form.
Surfaces uses the Sgrep search engine, a "grep-like" utility that can perform simple queries using the underlying structure in SGML documents.
The installation of the searh engine, the creation of the search forms, and CGI scripts programming have been done by Martin Sévigny for Surfaces.
